after being evee's emotional support animal and maid for two weeks now, I think we had a moment: i was sitting in the bathroom, she came in and looked into my eyes; then did a 180° turn, showed me that her little docked tail was wagging slightly; then turned back around and looked into my eyes again. afterward, she came into the bedroom, laid on the bed asking for pets, so i gave her lots of pets and that's when she smiled. 😭
