Jack of The Shining Reminds Me Of My Dad

The Shining naturally scares me. Wicked, haggard Jack needed help. Trafficking with the inner demons of the Overlook Hotel and neglecting his wife; an evil, overbearing side of Jack emerged; then turned up the insane by hedge maze spying. He never wanted to get help for his suffering family or himself. He ignored his apparent, then not so apparent, need for help.

It's such a scary movie for me because my dad had what my mom called a nervous condition. He liked to scare us and chase me. When we lived in Blaine Washington, I came home to find him with the eyeball like buttons off of my coat and placed over his eyes. He chased me and of course, I was scared to death. I've blocked out the part after he caught me. He was awful. I don't enjoy escape rooms and can't fathom how that's considered entertainment. I couldn't find my way out of a bag, so escape rooms and dark Halloween rooms don't do it for me.

I just noticed 444 in the model of the labyrinth of the Shining and wanted to interpret it through numerology: "Numerology regards 444 as an assurance that one is on the right path in life. It helps clear doubts and encourages perseverance with the current approach or plan. The number 4 pertains to wealth, and when repeated thrice, it is a strong signal of an upturn in financial fortunes, according to Royal Numerology."

If I had to pick one word to describe how I feel after the life I've lived, it would be exhausted. My years of working to provide for my kids, was only made possible by adrenaline.
