Gen X ers Still Believe the Customer is Always Right- Incorrecto!

You Might Be a Gen Xer...

If you don't like vegan meat, then don't let anyone take you to a deli called No Butcher. If you do decide to go, then don't order an Italian style all cold cut sandwich loaded with what you detest. If after taking one bite, you dislike the taste (as you knew you would), then don't let your "friend" talk you into taking your $11 sandwich up to the staff and in your best imitation of a two year old say: I don't like this. They probably hear this a lot from carnivore types who shouldn't be there in the first place and it's very awkward for them.

Don't expect a refund and don't expect them to give you another chance to dislike another option. They're probably not allowed. Also, don't go looking for sympathy on social media and call the staff rude and wonder what happened to customer service. This is twisting things in a big way, as you probably know, on some level... way deep down.

Here's another tip for dining out: if you don't like seafood, then don't go to a seafood restaurant and order fish. It's the same difference and it's on you. As a consumer, in the 21st century, take responsibility for your choices and don't burden others.

It took me a long time to learn that I'm responsible for my own actions, because I'm a slow learner. However, I still don't know what causes people to behave badly in restaurants, but I sometimes assume it's the gallons of diet Coke or Pepsi consumed at the table that's effecting the brain. I do know that these two Karens stubbornly stuck to their story insisting the staff should have done something to fix the situation. You ordered an $11 sandwich (I looked it up) and didn't like it, let it go. Oh yeah, I forgot, it's just content for your YouTube channel.

I'm looking forward to visiting No Butcher when I'm in Vegas, in September, because I enjoy having a deli sandwich every now and then.
