must love dogs:

Sometimes one of the disappointments about being a dog owner is dealing with other dog owners. About 10 years ago, I decided dog owners (in general) seem very controlling.  My attitude about dog owners started on the big island and continued into Seattle. Let's just say, combine a dog owner with Seattle freeze and you feel so unwelcome. It makes me shiver.

Here at the Square, there seems to be a dog hierarchy with a few of the owners. It's the schoolyard attitude, "My dog is better than your dog, naah, naah, nah-nah nah! My dog is calm, your dog needs to get a grip, naah naah nah-nah nah.

How about if dog owners get a grip and have some respect for the animals. It's not about who has the better dog, it's about some dogs are rescues and have been traumatized. Give dogs a wide berth if you suspect they might not be as calm as your little darling. And how about giving dog owners some grace, because they might be going through a hard time over concerns about their rescue.

Here is one (an all time classic) I heard from the 'my dog is specialer' pack, "My dog used to be a good dog, but he was around some bad dogs, so now he can be a bad dog, sometimes." Reverend or Friend (whatever you want to call yourself), what she said makes total sense, but not in the way she intended.

Also, the title Reverend makes sense to me because of that one song. Close enough.
