charting my own path—the good fight:
Coaching—or caring for—yourself costs absolutely nothing. It's totally free and it gives you that footloose and fancy free feeling. Can I get an amen?
You know, it's the exact opposite of the feeling you get from the cackling, wicked when they make you fight for your life and struggle to live. Chances are, bad calls is what kept you stuck in a cycle of abuse. "That's on you" is one of my "favorites." Abusers love to say that.
Role playing as caretaker for fragile, mean brats has got to stop. Coaching and caretaking ourselves has got to start. I WILL fight for today's gift of charting my own path.
Coaching yourself raises your inner child. Going within fondly, instead of harshly, picks your inner child up off the ground. Checking in with your inner child can allow healing.
For example, it seems like I have developed a slight allergy to tannins, because after having a cup of tea, I feel like I'm dying, instead of just feeling very tired. It's the nausea and increase in fatigue that convinced me. So now I have gone back to one of the diet recommendations from spirit, way back in February of 2007—cinnamon tea. That was 19 years ago. Of course I add flowers to my cinnamon tea.
Bragging Rights:
Coffee—only on Sundays.
Tea—only ceylon cinnamon.
Bravery—nah, I'm a hermit.
Coaching—only myself.
