initially blamed on some brown people spotted by the lake... welcome to the world of Le page and maga:

With the worldwide pandemic of violence against women and children, it surprises me that some campgrounds don't allow car camping. In that case, some people just pitch a tent but still sleep in the car.

I was at a campground one night and a vehicle drove up, knocked on my car and when they saw movement started to drive away. When I opened my door, they said they were just checking to make sure I was okay. I was glad they didn't tell me to sleep in a tent. I had one with me, just in case.

The only time I remember being afraid while swimming in a lake at night was in 1977 after seeing the movie Jaws. At the time, nobody knew about Ted Bundy killing Janice Ott and Denise Naslund at Lake Sammamish in 1974.

Tonight I came across this video of one of Bundy's victims who survived. She said it happened in 1967 when she was 14. I think it was the same lake where the others were killed.

Her story is really sad, because her mom slut shamed her for wearing a bikini her cousin had given her. She went for a walk instead of swimming and came across Ted Bundy who had walked out of the woods. He said he was a lifeguard, brutalized her and nearly drowned her. After she escaped and told what happened, her mom said she ruined their day.
