The Heavy Cream in Your Corn Chowder Makes Me Very, Very Nauseous
I don't trust people who cook with a lot of oil, butter, heavy cream and cheese; serve deep fried foods, such as chips and donuts, then make comments about their children gaining weight. I've even seen, on weightloss shows, parents refusing to change their shopping and cooking habits, while saying they support their child's weightloss journey. That's, straight up, gaslighting and complete BS! Walking away from such people is best, because they'll actually berate and harrass children who don't want to eat the unhealthy foods provided, then make comments about people needing to be a "normal" weight. This type of parenting can lead children into bulimia and/or anorexia. When parents discover their children have an eating disorder, they are, often, absolutely up in arms about it, to the point of condemning and judging.
Pro Bikini's Heidi Powell is one example of how untreated anorexia and bulimia can turn out. The Chris and Heidi Powell story includes how her eating disorders were active when they met, while she was rebounding from her divorce. Chris and Heidi married and had children. When they divorced, she immediately rebounded with the rebounding ex husband of Girl Wash Your Face author, Rachel Hollis. Heidi Powell and Dave Hollis immediately began putting out videos together. Dave Hollis with his raging alcoholism and Heidi Powell did split, but they're still good friends. However, it's no surprise that Heidi Powell comes across as a basket case in all of her videos, while former Disney executive, Dave Hollis comes across as a white male privileged, basket case in all of his. Both blather on, with no real content to share, but Heidi did help Dave slim and trim down in the process. He also did go into rehab after telling his 4 year old daughter, Noah to get a life for wanting pancakes after waiting for two hours, while berating his fans for not buying his book. Heidi Powell went on her Fit Over 40 road trip back to Pro Bikini, where there have been numerous allegations of sexual exploitation.
I've been on the Pritikin diet for 45 years and that's never going to change. Pritikin diet is low fat, high fiber and is sustainable, unlike keto, carnivore and other similar diets. I also eat up to 7 servings of potatoes per day (mostly in soups), because they’re delicious, nonfat and they fill me up. I substitute potatoes for rice, too, because rice makes me feel bloated and doesn't move through my system as easily as potatoes. So, yes. Yes, I do eat lots and lots of carbs.
