After doing some research, I have discovered that the extremely coddled and controlled Wendi Adelson was mentally abused and neglected by her husband, dictator Dan. He would get his jollies by insulting his wife for her inferior intellect, etc. Um. I don't get it!
He was the ruler of his home and would change the rules unexpectedly, like when he suddenly decided they were The Kosher Markels and not just The Markels. He was constantly fighting with the nutty, controlling matriarch of the Adelson family. He would flip out over the types of food the kids were eating, etc.
He made promises to Wendi and didn't keep them. He was frequently gone on trips, leaving the doe eyed Wendi alone, feeling like a single mother for long periods.
Advice for the Dan Markels of the world:
Never needlesly harrass a mama bear over her babies- especially when there are drug addled grandma, grandpa and uncle bears involved. You never know how it's going to turn out, because your type doesn't play fair.
